I am a PhD candidate in Philosophy and an MA student in Greek at the University of Michigan, where I am advised by Victor Caston, Sarah Buss, and Peter Railton.
My primary research interests are in ancient Greek philosophy, moral psychology, and ethics. My dissertation focuses on Aristotle's account of how passions help us succesfully navigate the world. I am also interested in questions about emotions and learning related to artificial intelligence, social-political philosophy, and cognitive science.
Before coming to Michigan, I recieved an MA in Philosophy from Western Michigan University and a BA in Philosophy, Theology, and Theological Languages from Concordia University Wisconsin.
Some things I enjoy outside of philosophy include running, camping, cooking, playing chess, acting, singing, and watching sports.
